Holiday Greetings, Friends,
As you scurry to put the final touches on your holiday giving list, please consider making a generous donation to the Friends Conference on Religion and Psychology (FCRP). As the days grow shorter, it’s a perfect time to reflect on the people and events that bring meaning and joy to our lives.

For the past 75 years, FCRP has worked diligently to create a sacred space for reflection, learning and community fellowship. Your tax-deductible gift will do so much to help us preserve this important tradition and will also keep the cost of our conference as affordable as possible. If you would like to donate as a gift to someone on your shopping list who really doesn’t need another pair of gloves or a tin of fruitcake, we will be happy to send him/her a card of acknowledgement.

In 2018, we are pleased to announce the conference will be held at Pendle Hill in Wallingford, PA. Pendle Hill is a Quaker study, retreat, and conference center welcoming all for Spirit-led learning and community. Not only is Pendle Hill closely aligned with the mission of FCRP, but it also offers proximity to public transportation and lodging options that didn’t exist previously.

We are also delighted to let you know that Dr. Bessel van der Kolk, a Boston-based psychiatrist noted for his research in the area of post-traumatic stress, has agreed to be this year’s Plenary speaker. Many of you may be familiar with his book, “The Body Keeps the Score: Brain, Mind, and Body in the Healing of Trauma”. Dr. Bessel van der Kolk’s work is at the forefront of healing trauma through the integration of developmental, neurobiological, psychodynamic and interpersonal work. In addition, Joe Weldon And Noel Wight, co-directors of the Philadelphia based Somatic Therapy Center, will share their 35 years of experience helping clients heal from trauma by resourcing the deep wisdom of the body through Transformative Touch.

You can make your tax-deductible donation to FCRP with the information under the Gifts and Donations section below.  If your donation is a holiday gift, please be sure to provide the recipient’s name and address so we can send him/her an acknowledgement.

Thank you for your ongoing support for this important work. We wish you and your family a blessed holiday season.

Thank you for your generosity and faith in our Conference.

We are always looking for people interested in the Conference to participate on our Planning Committee or our several subcommittees. Volunteers should have attended at least one Conference.  Contact a member of the current Planning Committee to let them know of your interest.

The FCRP Archives is available to members. If you attended either FCRP or WFCRP conferences this year you already are a member. If you cannot attend a conference you can also become a member for a gift of at least $20. The Archives website is password protected and a new password created each year after the end of the FCRP Conference. The FCRP archive contains recorded plenary speeches, some  FCRP related publications and pictures from past Conferences.
